About Me

I am determined to reach my career goal as a successful solicitor. Since a young age I have enjoyed helping people. With a career in law this is my aim; whether it be advising a client through a purchase of a property; one of the biggest purchases they will ever make or drafting commercial contracts for large corporations.

I have worked full time while studying, where I gained valuable experience working in an office environment while also developing my personal customer service skills. My various non-legal employments have established an ability to deal with changing situations professionally, practically and efficiently.

My pro bono work at Bangor University included  participating in the Innocence Project; an organisation dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals; working as a team was essential to progress each case. I am currently a member of the Junior Lawyers Division, which allows members the opportunity to network and connect with other junior lawyers, as well as training events in order to stay ahead of legal industry developments.

I enjoyed family law at the Legal Aid Centre but have spent the majority of my work experience working in more commercial and property based law firms. The experience I will seek to gain from my training contract is to put into practice all the knowledge and skills I have learnt so far, and develop these further within a working environment.

My objectives in terms of career development are to firstly successfully complete my training contract and to be continually employed as a qualified solicitor and further my career as a Partner within 10 years.

An achievement I am most proud of would be graduating from the LPC. Further personal achievements include building my own personal development in dealing with Customers in both a retail and a B2B environment.

On completing university, I was employed by TK Maxx and within 8 weeks my customer service skills had been recognised; I had been given the opportunity to become a Customer Service Team Leader. I have also pursued my interest in technology such as gaining experience in resolving technical issues, working with office applications and finally developing my knowledge in using software within an iOS / Apple Mac environment.

I am currently employed by Legal Marketing Services, a panel management company where my responsibilities involve selling conveyancing services and other corporate offerings within the financial services market, whilst developing and maintaining client relationships in order to maximise new business opportunities.
